I met the Military Officers Association of America, Salem Chapter on March 19th in Salem, Oregon.  Around 50 veteran officers were in attendance.  They enjoyed a luncheon while I spoke about The Sweethearts For Soldiers and our tours in 2008.  They were all touched by The Sweethearts' mission and compared our efforts to Bob Hope's entertainers.  I gave away posters left over from the Qatar Tour and Sweethearts brochures.  After I spoke for around 30 - 45 minutes, I performed my new sinlge, "Parades" and "God Bless the USA".  Everyone was teary and seemed to be moved by the songs.

"Parades" is a song I wrote after our first tour to Iraq.  It is about what a soldiers goes through in his experiences coming home, being re deployed, and making the ultimate sacrifice.  "Parades" debuted in New Mexico on Mike Jaxon's radio stations in Roswell and Artesia.  It has been played in Salem, Oregon on KBZY.  Most recently "Parades" was selected by national radio personality, Alan Kabel, for his "Moment of Greatness" song of the week, "Parades" was played every night for a week during his Troop Tribute in 7 different states across the country.  I will continue my efforts to share this new song with as many as possible.  Anyone can hear "Parades" and order a copy on my My Space or Facebook pages.
