I am originally from Japan. Before I came to the U.S., I was a member of the United Spirit Association Japan All-star cheerleaders and performed at the 2003 NFL AMERICAN BOWL in TOKYO as a JETS cheerleader. I was also a Rebook Japan Ambassador in 2003.

In 2004, I moved to the U.S. to be a member of the San Francisco 49ers Cheerleaders “Gold Rush”. After my season with the Gold Rush,  I learned Pilates to enhance cheerleading performance at UNLV and went back to Japan.  While in Japan, I wrote an exercise book, directed a professional cheerleading team, posed as a model for advertisements, did magazine interviews on health and cheerleading, performed at major events, etc. I am planning to establish a professional cheerleading organization in Japan in early 2010. I returned to the U.S. in 2007 to be with my American husband.

I visited the U.S. Marines Camp at Mt. Fuji to see the soldiers who had just came back from Iraq in 2006. At the event, I really felt like it was real cheerleading. I not only entertained them but also healed them. I thought, “This is what I really want to do!!”I started cheerleading activities in the U.S. again by being a part of the Sweethearts for the Soldiers organization. I am eager to be a bridge between the U.S. and Japan through the Sweethearts activities.

Much Love,
Keiko
