Howdy Yall! I’m Bonnie-Jill Laflin and I have been fortunate and blessed to have worked for four of the top sports organizations in the world.  I broke into the professional sports world by cheering for the Golden State Warriors being named NBA Cheerleader of the Year. My love for football overcame me so I followed my heart and moved across the Bay to join the San Francisco 49ers Goldrush for two years, which included a Super Bowl ring.  While attending the University of Texas (“Hook Em Horns”) I was selected to dance for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders “America’s Sweethearts” and was a part of there show group which I toured all over doing USO tours. I am currently working for the World Champion Los Angeles Lakers as the NBA’s first and only female scout, as well as the assistant GM for the Lakers’ minor league team and have 4 NBA Championship rings.

The sports world has opened many doors for me that have allowed me to work as a model, actress and sports reporter. Most of all I have been able to support one of my passions, Supporting our Troops!!! Both of my Grandfathers served in World War II, which one of them received the Silver Star and the Purple Heart. My uncle a Gunnery Sgt in the Marines served in Vietnam and my father is a retired San Francisco police officer (undercover narcotics), so supporting those who protect us comes naturally to me. I have been fortunate enough to be a part of 16 USO and Goodwill tours which include 6 to Afghanistan and Iraq. I make many visits to several veteran hospitals including Walter Reed, Brooks Medical and VA hospitals here in LA. I continue to visit bases here in the states and actively involved with Operation Gratitude (sending care packages to our troops) and Operation Baghdad Pups (uniting soldiers with dogs from Iraq & Afghanistan) I am on the cover of Battlefield Babes Calendar which proceeds benefitted the Wounded Warriors Project. I have recently started my own foundation called Hounds and Heroes, with the proceeds going to our troops and animal awareness.

It is an honor to be part of such an amazing group as Sweethearts for Soldiers.  To be given the opportunity to entertain and bring even a moment of happiness to our heroic soldiers, is something I am thrilled to do. This is just one of the ways I can give back by boosting morale to our troops. I would like to thank the brave men and women who sacrifice so much and continue to protect our freedom that our great country was so proudly built on!

I Salute you!!
BonnieJill
